Jim Carrey is writing another book.
The Canadian comedian icon, 57, took to Twitter on Monday to reveal his new Memoirs And Misinformation novel, which is semi-autobiographical.
The novel was inspired by Carrey's life as an actor and artist and looks at the egos, celebrity and trappings of Hollywood. The program will include a book talk by the authors, a question-and. Veteran comedy actor Jim Carrey has set his sights on a new career as a novelist. The star of many 90's and early 2000's comedies has written a semi-autobiographical novel titled Memoirs.
“When we were writing my memoir/novel together, Dana Vachon gave me a blind taste test with book covers,” he tweeted about the new book. “And the only ones I liked — like, ALL OF THEM — were done by @chipkidd. So I asked him to do my cover.”

The novel, to be published by Penguin Random House, is described as “a fearless semi-autobiographical novel, a deconstruction of persona. In it, Jim Carrey and Dana Vachon have fashioned a story about acting, Hollywood, agents, celebrity, privilege, friendship, romance, addiction to relevance, fear of personal erasure, our ‘one big soul,’ Canada, and a cataclysmic ending of the world–apocalypses within and without.”
And according to Carrey, “None of this is real and all of it is true.”
